Ian Levine (ex Blackpool Mecca DJ) persuaded Alfie Davison to perform this version of "Love is a serious business" his 70's Monster Northern Soul classic, on a cold February day, on the streets of Brooklyn, for his documentary film "The Strange World Of Northern Soul" which saw its premiere at Blackburn King Georges Hall about 8 years ago. It was a great day, the film lasted 10 hours, 9:00am-9:00pm and was followed by the regular KGH soul night, where we saw Bobby Paris perform "Nite Owl" live.

saw the Flirtations at the Talk of the South in Southend in 1971, and was their backstage security at the Cav in 1974 Two sisters Ernestine and Betty Pearce and Listine Johnson, great to look at too
