something a bit different for a change , check it out , opera ain't all that bad , just an idea, maybe Accy's/Hyndburn's leader could use it for his re-inaugeration after the May elections
anyone know if there is an English version of the USE (United States of Europe) national anthem , can only find French and this German version
sounds like it could be a good drinking song
It's Beethoven SJ, from his 9th Symphony "Ode to Joy" based on the words of the German Poet Friedrich Schiller, proper Germanic, what else would you expect from the "Federal Republic of greater Germany" ?

Can't say as I'm a big fan of that type of opera SJ but I've been a big fan of Gilbert and Sullivan's Savoy Operas for many years, in fact since I was a teenager SJ when I was persuaded to join St Mary's Amateurs and I appeared in the first two productions and was on back stage and lighting for two more, got me hooked really, G & S operas are often aired on the Sky Arts Channels, I've watched quite a few
not sure how many of you managed to watch the 6 hour movie ..Carlos ...in english/german/arabic/french .... worth the effort
this is the title music , a great blend of South American/latino and Arab influences
