Eyyyyy that's a bit surreal.
Been listening to the king of the Delta blues all night.
Started off with watching a SkyArts programme with Eric Clapton playing several Johnson tunes. Superb stuff.
Evidently this made it to number 7 in the UK in February 72 , and stayed in the charts for 14 weeks , I have absolutly no reccollection of it whatsoever , seem to remember through it was a popular recitation at weddings , only reason for posting it is the guy who 'recorded' it is dead , Les Crane , surprised one of the major political parties haven't revived it as a touchy feel good , new age anthem .........nah thats just being cynical
