Back in the 70s I was working Barrow-in-Furnace and we went into this little pub (as you do) for lunch, it was on the road between Barrow and Ulverston. The walls were absolutely crammed full of photos and memorabilia of the Nolans, the Landlord was a lifelong friend of their parents, and ad a few tales to tell, surprisingly it was quite interesting

They're a fine example of an immigrant family who assimilated themselves successfully into the Lancashire way of life.

I really enjoyed it, especially the early days, working the northern clubs with their parents.
The hard work ethic seems to have paid off, as they've all done very well since they split as a group.
