Found this on youtube and it's an interesting carousel of all Christmas number one songs from 1952 - present.
The Beatles, Sir Cliff, The Spice Girl's and Band-aid all had 3 Xmas hits.
Queen appear twice with Bohemian Rhapsody (presumably the second time on Freddie Mercury's death)
I knew most of the songs in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Those beyond 2000 i only knew Robbie Williams and Rage against the Machine -the others I think are likely to be X-factor winners which I haven't heard.
Worth spending the time to listen to and remember your favourites...

I'm with you on that Cashy though I did have a soft spot for Moon River at the time, and the Beatles...
Surprising how few are actually "Christamassy" songs...

Bob the builder and other such songs are pretty pathetic - though I personally love :
Benny Hill's "Ernie"
Classic commedy at it's bets - sad to think how he ended his life...

Christmas hasn't been the same since Cliff's last number one.
I didn't recognise it Michael -was only a UK hit...
