Re: Cover Versions

Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower. iIn fact most people who covered a Bob Dylan song did it better than him, brilliant writer and all right singer/guitarist etc but most bands improved on his versions, with the exception of Guns and Roses Knocking on Heavens Door. (Sisters of Mercy did it much better :-))

Other very good covers include Gun's Word Up, Faith No More's War Pigs, Dickies Paranoid and the Jam's Heatwave.

Re: Cover Versions

I think his version of Personal Jesus is better than the original by far.
Also shows Marilyn Manson how fear really sounds.

Blonde versus edison revamped version of heart of glass

Weird Al is your man for covers.
All better than originals and wet yourself funny.
Love "the Saga begins" = American Pie for Star Wars fans.
Michael Jacksons - Eat It and FAT
Amish Paradise, Pretty Fly for a Rabbi, Smells like Nirvana
And my own personal favourite "It`s all about the Pentiums Baby !"

Re: Cover Versions

I like U2's cover of Helter Skelter (Beatles); though prefer the Oasis live version.
