anyone like doves ? manchester and uk finest band, new album out, great as usual but very different .the album takes a few plays to get it really but get behind the lads, true to the north west has seen in this video.going to the manchester uni gig april 26th
sounds good on the first play...I'm sucker for strings in the middle..and got abit of Smiths in the back...but then I must stop comparing stuff to the Smiths.
i met the drummer from doves at t in the park festival and he saw my new order movement t shirt and said 'great album is movement and order are a ,great band' so he's a top chap
Rate this band.'The Last Broadcast' was exellent. The reviews i've read for this album are favourable.Just cant help thinking they may have got left behind in the wake of Elbows 'The Seldom Seen Kid' & all it's critical acclaim.

Think its their best album yet but, in all honesty this band just don't 'get inside me' nor do I ever recognise them immediately on radio play.
Im seeing them Friday n to be quite frank would prefer to stay home n watch crap TV
I love Doves ever since I first heard 'The Cedar Room' years and years ago. Saw them at Glastonbury when they had released The Last Broadcast - chuffing immense gig - played as the sun was going down and the crowd was rocking.
This new album is never out of my Windows Media Player at the moment
Just love it - and anyone who is able to go and see them, jammy gits!! One thing I really do miss about living in Cyprus is me live gigs.
Really looking forward to Kasabians new album too That underdog song on the Kaka Sony Bravia advert sounds top chuffin notch!
