East Lancashire Concert Band
I've been looking everywhere for a band where I could play my sax - I have been living here for 13 years and only this weekend did I discover the East Lancashire Concert Band.
I went along today and had a great time. Didn't do much but that didn't matter. They welcomed me with a friendly greeting and I enjoyed it very much. Apparently they play quite a few times a year around the area - I must have been walking around with my eyes shut - or my ears. I never knew that Ozzy had so much going on. 2014 is going to be good.

Just been speaking to some of the band members – they are always on the lookout for anyone who wants to join, no auditions required, just have an instrument, any age and standard.
I might just take paper and comb next time – see how I get on. Lol.

a representative from them has just been on the radio lancs... theyre looking for new members ... they've commissioned a new piece of music to commemorate the accrington pals .. and now theyre looking for new members to play it in September ....

Watch out for them - they have a great itinerary marking the 100th Anniversary of the 1st World War and a glorious tribute to the Accrington Pals.
