Favourite Cover Versions!

This cover version does the original, You really got me by The Kinks justice. Anyone got any other songs that were covered that they think are as good as or better than the original?

Joe Cocker's version of With A Little Help From My Friends. Also, most Dylan covers are better than the originals!

Hendrix - All along the Watchtower, is better than Dylans, as he said himself he often got the feeling he wrote it for Jimi Hendrix without knowing it

Re: Favourite Cover Versions!

Yeah, that's a classic. My fave Dylan cover is (a bit obscure) This Wheels On Fire by The Brian Auger Trinity. GnR's version of Live And Let Die is pretty good as well.

Love the Foo`s version of the Wings track and also agree with a couple of the others here, G`n`R`s Live And Let Die, Van Halen You Really Got Me......and mentioning Van Halen, you can add David Lee Roths version of Californian Girls and Just A Gigolo

Re: Favourite Cover Versions!

Leona Lewis singing Snow Patrols "Run" is just fantastic and I thought it would be awful, go on give it a chance

PS All Along The Watchtower was the first record I ever bought
