Feel Good Anthems
Just getting away from all this malarkey about sad songs, what's everyone's favourite tune that'll lift you up & make you feel 10 feet tall?
I've got loads but the ones that spring to mind are:
Oasis - Live Forever - Not a silly song about making houses out of plastecine. It was released in the wake of Cobain & woke all those smelly grungers up! The lyrics are superb as is the music. Brilliant song.
Ocean Colour Scene - The Day We Caught The Train - You know the one. "Woah woah la la, Woooah woooah la la!" 90's classic.
The Stone Roses - Waterfall - 4 minutes & 39 seconds of musical brilliance. Inspirational lyrics & an unforgettable riff from Brown & Squire.

Re: Feel Good Anthems
The Best- Tina Turner- always used to dedicate it to Alan Shearer, 94/95 season. going back My Generation- The Who was probably the Mod anthem, though we loved it as well.

Re: Feel Good Anthems
Two songs I play to make my spirits soar are McAlmont and Butler's 'Yes' and Grace Jones's 'La Vie en Rose'.
Cheaper than Prozac, and more effective.
