Re: Founder Member of Fleetwood Mac

I went to see them in early 1970 with the original line up - I remember that Mick Fleetwood was on the drums swigging from a bottle of vodka throughout the concert - they were absolutely fantastic performers! I also went off them when they went all american and stopped being so bluesy.
I want Albatross as the first tune at my funeral.

I don't remember it, I used to have the single, I'll have to look it up and have a listen.

I totally disagree - Albatross is probably one of the most relaxing rock tracks ever...

According to Wikipedia this was the b-side...

Re: Founder Member of Fleetwood Mac

Several years ago I bought a Fleetwood Mac compilation album featuring the original line-up of the group. Sorry to say but it's one of the most boring albums it's ever been my misfortune to listen to. They were just a typical run-of-the-mill British blues band of the period. The Rumours line-up was far superior in my opinion.

Think I can agree with that too Michael the introduction of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie made them more main stream which showed in the sales of the Rumours album
