R.I.P. Bob, don't think he was a founder member though.

That's right he wasn't a founder - I can't even fit his face with the band? He was in them from 71 - 74 - so I don't recall that period of the band.

Original line up of Fleetwood Mac 1967:

Peter Green guitar
Jeremy Spencer guitar
Bob Brunning bass (temporary stand-in for John McVie who was working his notice in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers)
Mick Fleetwood drums

Ye, greeny definitely left in 1970. Don't know about the rest as I lost interest after they stopped being a blues band.

If Green left in 70 perhaps they had some time off for a year before this fella joined.

They seemed to do very little in between the two events

There was a documentary on BBC4 a few weeks ago about Fleetwood Mac from their inception to modern day, it was a great program to watch. I have a book somewhere which shows the make up of bands through the ages, up unto about 1995 that's very interesting too

As I'm younger than you I only recall "Albatross" then I forgot about the band till they came out with more pop stuff in 77. Yeh I saw the documentary it's been shown quite a few times very interesting the band went through many formats over the years. I prefer Peter Greens stuff really in retrospect and in the light of age.
