Their guitarist Steve Clark died in 1991 due to alcholism.

That is a tradgedy, I had no idea.

Though if you want a true musical tradgedy listen to an Oasis album!

realy surprised david bowie isnt listed , as well as his music career he can play somthing like 60 instruments at a profesional level

i cant even name 60 instruments lol

However I fail to see how he could have influenced anyone on the list apart from maybe Noel Gallagher - as they all started their careers way before Joe Strummer's time.

wow theres some top notch music folk up there ... but i tell you this shake's noel hasnt got a snowballs chance in hell ...at the minute im drunk ..but i will sleep on it man ,then we shall see

Still can't vote. Too much aged guitar sludge with too little musical talent. Obviously John Lennon excepted.

Oasis, the modern prototype of guitar sludge though with the last 2 albums they have tried desperatley to get away from that.

Ray Davies, Van Morrison, Bowie, Strummer are all way ahead of most of them and thats just a quick list. I don't think 6 or 7 of them come close to the top 30 Britsish Musicians.

look, fusspot;
i tried to put together a relatively wide range of british rockers - from the glam rock of T-Rex to the heavy metal of Led Zep to modernish rockers oasis. obviously everyones tastes arent gonna be accounted for.
why cant you just vote from the ones on the list, it aint gonna change so if you wanna make your own poll, be my guest!!
