Greatest British Musician?

OK they were all part of great million selling bands - but who was the best at their craft?

Im going for Moon - always was and always will be the best drummer of all time in my opinion.
revolutionised rock drumming
RIP Keith 'Mental' Moon

-Edge - irish!!
-Slash - yank!!
-Phil Collins - Martian!!!

lol i just dont think Phil Collins even compares to anyone else on that list, cant stand the guy. Plus he is now an official US citizen, claiming that he will only come back to the land of hope and glory if Tories get back in power...

Actually, the Edge is English as are his whole family. Whilst he has lived in Ireland on and off for years he is still a British citizen, not Irish.

Eric Clapton is an excellent musician. Though on balance I have to say that I think Brian May was/is a superb guitarist. There are few about that could match him.

Can't believe i forgot to mention John Entwistle - he played the who's bass like lead guitar and was arguably the best bass player in British music! (aside from Level 42 snigger snigger)
so sorry man!
