Headline Act At Glastonbury

Anyone any views on this years headline act,hip-hop star Jay-Z? Many say this is the reason why tickets have been slower to sell than usual as hip-hop & Glasto do not go together.Personally i've always thought Glasto as mainly a rock festival with different tents set up for different types of music & acts, but the main pyramid stage left for the more guitar orientated bands(with the odd exeption). And as hip-hop is associated with a lot of our so called 'gun culture' i can see a real threat of violence as these rap fans clash with mainly white middle class youth. As Noel Gallagher has said "hip-hop at Glastonbury,no way".

Re: Headline Act At Glastonbury

I must admit i thought it was a brave move on the part of the organizers who really were probably trying to mix it up a bit and have something slightly different for a change although it seems to have backfired slightly, can`t say i`ve ever been or ever want to , in the past 20 years i`ve been to hundreds of gigs but ever fancied glastonbury saying that its one of those festivals that people go to for the experience of the whole event rarely just specific acts ( although it does help) but then again by the time the headliners are on is anyone still sober?

Perhaps all those weekend potheads will be able to understand his lyrics.
