How many 'wrinklies' would pay to see this reunion

seems to be there is some talk about Rod (Stewart) the Mod teaming up with his old band mates from the Faces for a reunion tour
BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Rod Stewart denies Faces reunion

ok , how many Accy-web users of a certain age would like to see such a show , and more importantly how much would you be prepared to pay to see them ? considering the fact that in the old days when these guys were popular you probably could have seen them for 10/- (ten shillings/50 p ) what would you think a fair price now .... my thinking , providing there is adequate wheel-chair access and a decent opening act (say .. the kinks or ? ) maybe it could be a good show , or it could be something totally sad like a Edmudo Ross concert which our Mums and Dads went to ...........your thoughts ..

The WHO are coming to town soon ,don,t know the ticket prices yet, but as the saying go,s If you have to ask the price, you can,t afford it.
Is the wheel chair access for the band or the fans?

Re: How many 'wrinklies' would pay to see this reunion

Can't think I would want to see Rod Stewart not my cup of tea really, but there are some I would pay to see. Watched the Cream reunion concert at the Albert Hall, on the Sky Arts channel this week, I would certainly pay to see them and the Stones. Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate) is starting a tour next month, used to like them too. The one I would really pay to see, which could never happen, is Jimi Hendrix, a true legend, was years before his time, he's the only guitarist that could use control feed back, watched his Isle of wight concert last night on the Arts Channel

I suppose I can be classed as a "wrinklie", as I'm just slightly older than Rod Stewart, but I wouldn't cross the street to see him.

Fifty years ago I would have given a lot to see Elvis but, if he were alive today, I doubt I'd bother as he would be 74 and, no doubt, the sex appeal would have erroded a bit. Likewise the Beatles - have you seen Paul McCartney recently? He looks like an elderly, not very well, Cocker Spaniel.

I paid £10 to see the British Glenn Miller Orchestra, in Warrington, a few years ago. Obviously the musicians in the band were just young blokes who weren't born when Miller died but they played every piece note-perfect and it was a fantastic show. Some music is just timeless.

Wouldn't stir from my armchair to see Rod Stewart and the Faces, but that's just my personal taste. Most of the people I'd like to see have gone to that big recording studio in the sky. However, I will pay whatever it takes to see Little Richard when/if he comes to this country on his supposed last ever tour this year.

I wouldn't go if you paid me....they were never my favourite music......and I can never understand why anyone would rave over Rod Stewarts vocal ability...he couldn't sing his way out of a paper bag......and that was when he was younger.....now, his voice is thin and reedy.

Will do, mate. Even if his only personal appearance is in London, I'll be going to this, three day week or no three day week!
