I was only making the comment that Turner's contributions to rock n roll, as great as they are, do not excuse his actions in life, as some people (away from this thread btw) have implied.
I would not take anything away from Turner's (or Lennon's) musical achievements at all, you all know how big a fan of rock & roll I am. However I do not hold them as people in high regard at all.

Neither do I, nor Chuck Berry (imprisoned for 5 years for transporting a 14-year old female over the state line, accused of installing video cameras in the female toilets of a restaurant he owned) or Jerry Lee Lewis (married his 13-year old cousin).
