absolute nail on the head!!
i was reading a John Lennon interview from 1976, four years before he was tragically killed; and he 'bottom-lined' the reason for the Beatle split as "too much talent for one band" - at first this startled me and perhaps made me think that Lennon was a little ignorant - but after a while i started to realise that each beatle gave us a 'phase' of life - Lennon brought forward the simple lyrics which describes his confusion about love, life and the world. McCartney brought the melody to the band; the more appealing, middle of the road tunes such as 'we can work it out' which werent the greatest written songs, but certainly stick in your head. George's quiet and humble persona adds to the mystery of the band - producing rare gems such as 'something' .
and of course ringo is the voice of thomas the tank engine
"the beatles, split? we must tell the fat controller about such things...."
ahhh theres a little ringo in all of us lol
