local bands

Does anyone know Ian Bond Accy lad et al?
They had a band some years back, they were pretty good and had a few mates who were all decent musicians. I saw Bondy at the Mela this summer playing. Does anyone know what theyre called and any other local bands worth seeing? (Got to support the home grown)

Re: local bands

I Know Bondy. His band were the Stanleys who released a single called "Mr Major (lend me a pound)".
This was released on cherry red records (same label as dead kennedys) but has long since been deleted.
As for his new band I have no idea, however andy bennet who played bass in the stanleys has a younger brother called chris who plays/sings in a decent local group "the Citzen Band".
If this helps good!!! I think i should write a book on the Accy music scene.
