I wouldn't call myself a metalhead anymore as I listen all sorts of music, but at one point my taste was purely metal (still like metal of course, just like other stuff as well).
I liked/like Slayer/Orbituary/Machine Head/Metallica (of course)/Megadeth/Anthrax/Testament/Sepultura/NIN/Maiden (pre-No prayer album preferred!)/FNM (not metal as such!)/Entombed/White Zombie/Carcass/Death/Korn/Corrosion of Conformity/Annihilator/Deftones etc..... I like some of the newer metal bands...Static X/System.../At-the-drive-in (split up now I know!)/Mudvayne...been to Donnington twice/Milton Keynes Metallica etc...I just don't keep up with the metal scene like I used to...went thru a phase of a coupla years when I didn't listen to much metal...been listening to more of my back catalogue recently tho...it still flicks my switch when the mood takes me! Used to have all the old t-shirts - including my pride and joy, a seps brazil footy top with "sepultura 10" on the back - not sure where they are, think they have got lost in one of my many moves, if I find any of em I will still wear em with pride!

Yeah Sepultura's music was change since max Cavalera left. But if you wanna hear a good band, try to find Dying Fetus, Disgorge, Avused, Morgoth, Suffocations, cannibal Corpse...hehehehehe... they're awesome !

Carcass, Napalm Death & Paradise Lost...older bands - now defunct, although ND may still be knocking out albums...

Like Ceejache, I used to listen to nothing but metal, but in my day it was Motorhead, Saxon, AC/DC, Sabbath, Priest, that kinda stuff. Then I broadened my musical tastes and nowadays, I'll listen to anything that's decent quality music.

metal is the best ,listen to loads ,like zepplin, deep purple,sabbath,maiden,and i liked a band called hawkwind ,hence my name ,they did a tune called urban gorilla,if u download it ,get the live version ,is much better

Been a big metalhead since my younger days.
I enjoy everything from Maiden, Metallica, Van Halen, Kiss, Ratt, Poison, Def leppard, Ozzy, G'n'R, Skid row, AC/DC, Gun, to Slipknot, Korn, Marilyn Manson, the Used, Killswitch engage, the Chillis, System of a down, Foo fighters. I also listen to indie, classical, country, jazz, etc. |

Yeah, Carcass are amazing, so are Cathedral, who are the first singer from Napalm Death's doom band. Lee Dorrian he's called. my boyfriend is the singer in Reth who have just been signed to Christmas Eve Records. http://www.christmaseverecords.co.uk
