Music to conjure up Christmas spirit...

Can't seem to get in the mood for Xmas his year. Traditionally our Xmas tree goes up from Dec. 8th (Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady) until Jan 6th - The Epiphany.
Have just dusted off a few CD's -a couple of traditional carol collections (seems a bit early for them though) and Sting's If on a Winter's Night...not one of his greatest albums but i love the song Soul Cake -mainly because it features one of my favourite carols, God Rest you Merry Gentlemen...

The following version is live from Durham Cathedral 2009 - beautifully played and sung, it's a great folksy Christmas song...

Does anyone have any other songs they can suggest which help to get the in the mood for Christmas?

Definitely not Silent Night. It's a dirge.

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", as sung by Judy Garland in the film "Meet Me In St Louis".

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed but I was too polite to mention it.

I like 'Fairy tale of New York' but was MacGowan absolutly sozzled on that video? and did he ever see a dentist?
I love 'Dirty Old Town', their version was much better than Ewan MacColls original. Not very Christmassy though.
