Exclamation Ricky Ross @ Burnley Mechanics

Who remembers Deacon Blue? A Glasgow band from the late eighties, with hits such as; Chocolate Girl, Real Gone Kid, Fergus Sings the Blues, and Dignity.

The lead singer and songwriter of Deacon Blue, Ricky Ross, is playing at the Mechanics Institute in Burnley on the evening of Sunday 15th of May. This is an acoustic tour to promote his new album, "Pale Rider" which was released today, 2nd of May 2005.

I shall be taking Lettie to see this gig, as I know that she is a big fan of Deacon Blue.

I really liked Deacon Blue so I'm looking forward to this. As Grego said, we saw them in the 90's in Birmingham and it was a cracking show. Remember the Mexican wave Grego??

Exclamation Re: Ricky Ross @ Burnley Mechanics

I bought a pair of tickets a couple of days ago. they were priced at £15 each.

Burnley Mechanics is only a small venue which is quite intimate, so no seats are very far from the stage. Ther were still seats available on Wednesday afternoon when I bought mine.

The show starts at 8pm.
