Rip kenny ball .

Sad news about the passing of a great Jazzman who knew his instrument inside out..could entertain with the best....and was a kind and generous friend !!.....

Indeed RIP. You get to a time in life when there are more obituaries that mean something to you than you really like to admit to. The influences of your youth, the film stars, TV personalities that you liked are all going the same way. This is not to mention your friends and family who are gone.
I remember how I found out Laurie Lee ('Cider With Rosie') had died. I was on a plane either to or from Newark and there it was staring out at me from the seat in front - a Times obituary. Strangely I was shocked, yet death has to be.
Only recently I discovered that Tony Peluso guitarist on 'Goodbye To Love' had died. Yeah, it hit me because I loved that guitar solo.
I remember sometime in the '70 in the Kings or Queens pub when you got 3 songs on the jukebox for a shilling and used to play that song, a bozo told me that was not a guitar solo. Ha! as if to play great guitar you have to have long greasy hair and take drugs all day.
