"Who's Ronnie Drew?", you ask. Well listen to this.
I heard the full 7 nights, a long time ago, and Saturday and Sunday were, er, a bit rude. The commercial record only went uo to Friday.
Ronnie died yesterday, in Dublin, from throat cancer at the age of 73. He had a unique voice and played and sang with The Dubliners, a fantastic "folk" band, for many years. He was a great character and very highly regarded in Ireland.

Good night and God Bless Ronni Drew. A couple of old standards in my collection and on my I Pod are Carrickfergus and The Irish Rover. Not every Englishman’s taste but classics in their own right....Don't Sleep over there.....Sing.
Old Ronnie gone to the Folk Club in the sky, He was part of the sixties, just like The Clancy Brothers, Robin Hall & Jimmy McGregor & the Corries. The Tavenners 5 used to do alot of there stuff up the Jazz Club, So a thanks to you Ronnie another one who played a part in our youth.
