Spectacle

Started on Channel 4 at 00:15. Ends at 01:15.

A music and chat series hosted by musician and songwriter Elvis Costello. This week's guests are Kris Kristofferson, Roseanne Cash, Norah Jones and John Mellencamp.

I'm only watching it for Kristofferson, but thought it might intrigue others.

Re: Spectacle

Sorry, Cash!

Well, I really enjoyed that. Missed the first twenty/twenty five minutes but the rest was a pleasure to watch. Included a lovely song written by Rosanne Cash, Elvis Costello and Kris Kristofferson called 'April 5th', as well as a nice rendition of Kristofferson's 'Me & Bobby McGee' by all present.

Just a simple programme on some great songwriters including sweet acoustic performances - with no obnoxious presenter.

I hope this series continues; not one of those that just disappears. It was the first thing I've watched in a while and haven't felt like I've wasted time.

Well the one I saw wasn't
Would suggest it may have been because they had the down to earth country roots of Kristofferson and Cash on the show this week.

There's a number of other clips from the show out there.
Just search 'Kristofferson Costello' on YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
There's a clip of Kristofferson's 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' which is superb - one of my favourite songs.
