The New Breed

There have been a number of bands breaking through into popular demand over the last couple of years; but which ones will stand the test of time?
Which of the following bands/artists in your opinion will be the most successful in years to come? I have selected these few on their popularity/public perception and the success of their debut albums, if you would like to suggest any others please select so
Happy Voting

Re: The New Breed

Can I vote for 3?
Editors, Killers and Kaiser Chiefs (Arctic Monkeys goes without saying)

Re: The New Breed

I went for Zutons, rock n roll combined with mersey soul brilliantly...although I see a big future for Futureheads aswell.

Re: The New Breed

Arctic Monkeys seem too much of a novelty band for me, their album is full of great indie tunes but I don't see them making any truly great albums; I hope to be proved wrong though!

The Big Heat www.thebigheat.net Rockin' jivin' 50's-style jump blues band straight outta Sheffield. Saw 'em at the Brum jazz festival and they blew me away. New CD "Boogiemen" is a killer! Never mind yer modern beat combos - feel the Heat!

Re: The New Breed

KT Tunstall will keep plugging away for years... even if she slips from the mainstream limelight. She's the kind of artist you find turning up on acoustic stages at little festivals all over the place.

Kaiser Chiefs have been going for so long now that they'll probably do the same... saw them in Leeds about 10 years ago - upstairs in the Royal Park.

Re: The New Breed

Arctic Monkeys are alright... quite funny. But just not as good as The Frightened Prisoners Of The Kraken - Darwen's best ever band!!!

Re: The New Breed

The Paddingtons are the best live band in Britain right now. Seen most of the above live.

Re: The New Breed

The Paddingtons are a great live band; second only to Dirty Pretty Things.
