One, With or Without You, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Where The Streets Have No Name, Pride, Sunday Bloody Sunday, I Will Follow - some of the greatest songs ever written by anybody.
Amazing band.
will disagree with the term greatest , but allow some of the best
Beautiful Day is the best u2 song! Makes me think of football for some reason maybe because its on the championship where stnley are on now wahooo However the new u2 song with greenday is brilliant!
The video for the new U2 single, 'Window in the Skies' is genius ..... one of the best music videos I've seen in a very long time.
It includes footage of just about every legend in rock: Jimi Hendrix, Thom Yorke, Robert Plant, Karen O, Elton John, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Elvis, Sinatra, Kanye West, George Harrison, Kurt Cobain and many, many more.
Thanks to brilliant editing, they've all been made to look as if they are singing the U2 song. See how many legends you can spot (and look carefully and you'll glimpse the members of U2 in crowd shots.)
I don't quite know what to make of it though.
Is it homage to their idols or are they being pretentious to think that these greats would want to sing this song?
I'm not sure on that one.
Thanks for proving my little test there.
There's no reasoning with utter stupidity, you can only use their own moronic language to get something out of them....and it's still ****e at that.
Back to thread, yes U2 are a great band but I find them quite pompous these days to say the least, but the older songs speak for themselves. If that makes me negative then so be it.
