Worst Ever Cover?

What do you think? I was tempted to go for Gareth Gates version of Suspicious Minds but I think Ill plump for Steve Brooksteins version of Against All Odds.

And a dire version of 'Knockin' on heavens door'.Also that Mark Ronsons version of The Smiths 'Stop me if you've heard this one before' really grates....can't stand it.

Re: Worst Ever Cover?

Just thought of another.

That big fat mincing ****** Robbie Williams' attempt at The Charlatans' "The Only One I know" from the aforementioned Mark Ronson album.

Absolutely dire.

Re: Worst Ever Cover?

The songs my little brother has on the computer. Stuff like this guy called dj rankin who wrecks perfectly good songs with his club beats. For eg: The titanic, rythem is a dancer. And worst of all bon jovi1s song Living on a prayer, it sounds so bad and he also did a really bad cover of bryan adams and his song summer of 69. I found this website on it. Dj--Rankin – Music at Last.fm
And DJ Rankin – Music at Last.fm

Re: Worst Ever Cover?

Those are re-mixes, not cover versions. Big difference. Although you are right, "your brother's" music and many if not all of these clubbish re-mixes are terrible.

He may well have thought it was better than his own but I still don't think so.

Imagine - A perfect circle

I adore APC and John Lennon but Maynard J Keenan absolutely destroyed one of the most beautiful songs in history

Re: Worst Ever Cover?

Some Goth band have recently done a cover of Genesis' classic hit "Land Of Confusion" and absolutely butchered it.

Having said that, strange their isn't a great attempt cover versions, Nirvana's attempt at the man who sold the world - is as good as bowies, as is Limp bizkets [sp?] version of - man behind blue eyes is as good as The Who's, altho nothing beats an original there are some covers that are better depending on preference like Paul youngs version of common people.
