Re: 09/10 Shirts on EBAY for £20..........badged!

Just an update, I recieved a reply from the 'seller' this morning..............the seller is PROSTAR , so the shirts are 'original' and not seconds.

Apparently they are selling like hot cakes...............not bloomin' surprised!!

Heres hoping the club can get this sorted....................soon.

Posted via Mobile Device Bet shirt sales will not be given to the club, therefore vital funds are lost and its the club thats out of pocket.

If they are selling so well the club has missed a trick.

at the end of the season they reduce the shirts to £10 as a new shirts will be coming out.

Im pretty sure the club at £10 will be at worst covering cost.

Why not order lots of stock and sell them at £20, £35 for home and away!

Posted via Mobile Device Shirt selling off usually when kit is due to be changed. As the kit hasn't changed then the club didn't reduce the price. In light of shortage of kit in shop this season its not a laughing matter when pro star are making a buck at stanley's expense.

when the kit is changed, could be n idea to use the 62 shirt as the new strip? if well promoted could possibly be good? possibly plenty of media mileage? just musing.

Right there on the 61/62 team shot in the middle of the home page on the Stanley history site, John.

Accrington Stanley History

Difficult to see just what it looks like from that shot, but, take it from me, it was a very classy shirt...a white v-neck with a large horizontal red panel round the middle. Reckon they'd sell like hot cakes if they introduced it. I'd certainly buy one!

Perhaps the manufacturing of a third kit could be sponsored by a business. I doubt that the funds necessary to invest in a third kit and replica stock would be available until a good while after the tax debt is paid.

There would be extra cost involved though. We order catalogue kits that are used by many other teams (our training top is almost identical to Rhyddings' P.E. kit, apparently) as it lowers the cost considerably. To make a special order kit would be expensive, hence the idea to have it sponsored by a business. I love the 1962 kit idea, I hope it's one of those ideas that is picked up by the club. Next season we'll be more thankful than ever to be in the Football League and it should be commemorated.
