2006/07 Season Tickets
Just looking ahead to next season
Do you think we'll have more season ticket holders as a result of the promotion? Many people attend home games throughout the season who aren't season ticket holders, they pay at the gate. I wonder if promotion will influence them into buying a season ticket when they go on sale in May...
An increase in the number of visiting fans will obviously boost our overall attendance figures next season. If our regular home support increases too, then the sky's the limit! (think Carlisle United!!!)

Re: 2006/07 Season Tickets
In a word.....yes
success = more fans
more fans = more money
more money = better chance of success
better chance of sucess = even more fans
Its an on-going circle.

Re: 2006/07 Season Tickets
Apparently, Frank Martindale stated at the ground on Sunday that next seasons season tickets will be on sale at this seasons prices for a while. However, the programme from the Tamworth game stated that applications should have been posted out to existing season ticket holders and if you have not received them to phone the club or go to the club shop for a form. Applications to be returned by 30th April!!!!! For those that missed this little gem - its on page 5 of the programme.

On sunday Frank announced "new season tickets are now on sale and at last season's prices". This is incorrect, both he and the club apologise to those who were mis-led by the announcement.
In the programme there was a reminder to season ticket holders that the deadline for renewing at last years price is 30th April. If any season ticket holder had not received a form for whatever reason, having read this page they knew to contact the club to avoid missing out on the offer.
Seems like a perfectly reasonable, programme-worthy announcement to me, there's nothing 'GEM' about it.

Since fans have been asking for 2 to 3 weeks and this article appears in small print in the programme 9 days prior to the 30th I'll stick by what I said!

I was there on Sunday & they did announce quite a few times over tannoy that next seasons season tickets will be on sale at this seasons prices on sale now. So if it isnt true then it shouldnt of been announced then & if people did enquire to get one after that announcement on sunday then they should of got it as advertised, certainly there might of got the interest of those whom havent had a season ticket before to get one. It doesn't look good for the club if their staff are making errors & wrongly advertising stuff, specially as its revenue for the club!
They should make it quite clear to avoid mis-understandings in the future.

Where in this post say that i said the club was lying??????
I said if possible that they were retracting their tannoy ad giving 2 points of view what part of what i said was they were lying to fans!!!! All i said was what i heard i was there n kipax has pic to prove it mate!
*Thats for the attention of one seemingly small minded male chauvanistic pig whom thinks women should stay at home & not allowed to know owt about footy. I never thought any ASFC fans would have such dark ages view - blimey i know it was 44 years since being in football league but your brains dont have to be there!!!*
I think i have everyright to point that out & clear my name, anything else it wouldnt of mattered much but surely its libel for one, defermation of character & ball**cks karmer deduction reads"For saying the club are lying" erm i think you should learn to read as its something ive not said!!! - pathetic go & get a life!

Aye, same here. I think its a cracking gesture by the club, especially when they could have chosen to exploit more money as they knew many would want to see us in the league.
PS: Regarding season tickets next year. Will they be given for a particular area because of the ground segregation? Eg: Clayton End season ticket.
Or will holders be allowed in anywhere?

Re: 2006/07 Season Tickets
think season ticket holders will be allowed to go in anywhere but will have to stay in that area for the 90 minutes

You got yours, then?
Club have had my money for a couple of weeks or so now, just assumed I'd receive mine sometime before season starts.
Does it look more professional now we're league 2??
Or do you mean you paid for it today??

Re: 2006/07 Season Tickets
I believe he means he payed for it today. The club will send them out when the season nears. On the question of looks, I hope we go back to the book style of our first conference season. That was quality.
