Re: 2012 Prediction League - Game 31; v Port vale (away)

Apologies for this being another catch-up, but life is returning to a reasonably even keel now, so routine service should be resumed from here on ……

The Plymouth game saw us back in positive mood with 26 predicting an away win, 6 a loss and just 7, correctly, the draw – of whom only Ossy Kid went goalless and therefore took the max 5 points. 3 points for the other drawmongers and the odd bonus point elsewhere. So Ossy Kid, Nige B, Teach, Norwich Stanley and Kiwi John closed the gap on Valairian and pulled clear of the other chasers. 2 new players for this one, Caretaker, who scored a point, and Choirboy, who didn’t

So on to Port Vale and a valiant effort by 10 men ending in a 3-0 loss. Pefect distribution of forecasts – 12 for us, 12 for them, 12 draws. Amongst the correct pessimists, or dirty dozen , Ack94V, LongLostSon, Yerself and, for the second week running, Ossy Kid got the perfect 5. But 4 points for Val defended most of his lead, which is now 5 over Ossy Kid with NigeB 4 further behind. I get the feeling a few more of us are actually trying to win this league now , as few of the contenders went with their hearts for a win against strong opposition …..

So let’s hope Stanley confound the serious players by thumping Southend on Saturday to give Wynonie 5 points for one of his most outrageous shouts !

Top 50 table attached in chunks.

On Stanley On!!!
