Re: 2013 Prediction League; Game 2 (Portsmouth - home)
OK, I'm feeling a lot happier this week, and I've got a keyboard to work on, so here's a more reasonable round-up of the story so far ....
It was a cautious start to the season for the predictors, with comparatively small majorities fancying wins in the games so far. 52 entries for the Newport game went 28 for us, 7 for them and 17 for the draw, with slightly more optimism shown against Pompey, 46 entries dividing 28 / 8 / 10.
As noted last week, only PeterMurphyisGod (andwenowknowthatisabsolutelyright) predicted the size of the disaster in the first week. Stevie R, Teach and Tom D got the Pompey result spot-on this weekend. PMIG, Teach and Tom D each picked up a bonus point for the other game, so are our joint leaders on 6 points. No-one else has more than 4, and I still haven’t got any .
55 people have played so far, 9 missing week 2 after doing week 1, and 3 only joining in at week 2. 11 have taken up the “season ticket” default option, and doing so produced a point for UKCowboy on Saturday .
I will produce a full table after the Cheltenham game. In the meantime, let’s keep the Shakers pointless this coming Saturday .
On Stanley On!!
