Re: 2013 Prediction League; Game 34 v Burton Albion (away)

Logic (and the Ref) Overcome Passion Again

The current top 5 in the prediction league, along with 5 others, were all sensible enough to feel it was unlikely that Burton could be stopped (bloody Billy Kee, eh). Of these, Teach, AngeB and Valairian all got it spot on to take the max 5 points. Bdc, Football19, Nige B and Stevie R took 4, Outback Ozzy, PMIG and Cmon Stanley 3 (the last two via their defaults). Then there were 10 drawmongers and 20 keeping the faith , picking up the odd bonus point scrap here or there.

The result table-wise is that Teach now sits 2 points clear of AngeB, who leads Football19 only on countback. PMIG is best of the rest, 6 points behind.

I have no views on the penalty!!

I'm off on my hols tomorrow for a fortnight , and though I'll be checking Accyweb I'll be away from the computer that does the clever bits of producing the tables, so it's roll on Snakes, Monkeyhangers, Dale and Shrimps before I'll be doing the next update (and even then I may not be able to process four matches between getting home and the game against the Argyle Janners). So watch this space!

My predictions for those games (Stanley scores first): Snakes 1-1; Monkeyhangers 2-0; Dale 2-2; Shrimps 3-0; Argyle 2-1. On Stanley On!!
