It is Now!!

You somehow knew I was going to do that, didn't you

Not spot-on, only Ossy Kid took the max 5 points, but 3 was enough to make Teach "statistically safe" regardless of "results elsewhere". These included 4 for Football19 which took him 2 clear of AngeB, who after only picking up a single bonus point now shares third place with Sherry who got 3. 4 points, too, for DAV007, PMIG (by default of course) and Yerself. The other 3-point pessimists were Bdc, CmonStanley and Valairian.

The overall voting was 15 for us, 10 for them, and 14 for the draw - the thems had it, nonetheless .

Now, an ethical dilemma . This post .....

It would score a point, wonder what effect would that have on the table? Ah, just one place - so who would lose out? Me!! What to do, what to do??

You'll just have to look at the table (very near the bottom of part 1) to find out ....

Meanwhile - no we're not statistically safe , but it would need hideous results elsewhere and two dreadful performances from us - surely passion won't overcome logic? So roll on the U's ... it would be the perfect time to beat a bogey team now, and hear 70 voices singing "Down with the Stanley .... you're staying down with the Stanley" at 1655 on Saturday .

On Stanley On!!

I think that it should be OK, 5 mins in still 0-0. By the way, the title says game 40??

Woo hoo! Now all we need is for Stanley to be statistically safe come 5pm Saturday. (On the moral dilemma with Chubbyman's prediction, trouble is allowing it would set a precedent even though it doesn't change the table much).

Hi Joe

I was struck down with a bug courtesy of the grandchildren, the daughter and the wife ....... The way I felt it was lucky I managed to put a thread up at all (which also explains why it was the latest I've ever put up .......)

Only realised two days ago that I'd put 40 for 44 (get it? Forty for forty four )

And that's why this one was slightly early .... Guilt!

Has happened to us twice in four seasons ....one we allowed (2 mins, still 0-0, and someone whose official duties may gave caused the problem) the other entry was 15 mins in and 1-0, and the guesser withdrew the entry when the circumstances and potential for problems were pointed out ....We try to stay alert. Britain needs lerts .........
