It's Not All Over Yet
You've finally got it! A home game against a side stuck in the relegation mire at the bottom of the table does not
guarantee a Stanley win, as 10 drawmongers and 3 pessimists realised, whilst only 22 kept the faith. But of course, for once a Stanley win arrived nonetheless .....
Amongst the 22, modesty should forbid me to note that only I predicted 3-1, with Redash also taking a maximum via his default, but sod modesty on this occasion
. As a result, I clambered up from 19th to 16th, and Redash from 21st to 18th=. Lots of others took 4 points, so the faithless 13 generally tended to slip backwards.
The faithless included our Top 4, but only Bdc suffered positionally as a result, dropping back to 6th behind Teach and Accybeme. The Bs each took a point, Deeayess didn't, so Ange's lead remains 21 over Nige, with Deeayess 3 further back. With 25 available, it's not all over yet, but the chasers need Ange to start firing blanks, and to pick up maximums themselves. Incidentally I've noticed Ange is starting to man-mark Nige by submitting the same forecast
, thus guaranteeing no relative change
, so I'll take yours by PM if you like Nige
.
A run of form could realistically see anyone down to Football19 in 7th nicking a podium place, whilst statistically
Stevie R in 24th has a chance.
So it's roll on Cambridge on Saturday. It's a six-pointer
in the battle for 17th place, I reckon. On Stanley On!!
