More Goals In The Rain Than Movement In The Table
I’ve told you lot before not to get too cocky, you just don’t listen ……
36 people backing a home win
, just 2 sitting on the fence expecting a draw
, and 1 going for an away win
– and as that 1 was ncfc1, I can’t be complaining about a lack of faith on his part. So that many people couldn't possibly be right
The 2 drawmongers were StevieR, taking a max 5 and leaping up the table from 35th to 26th
, and Football19, taking just 3 and leaping from 37th to - err -
37th! Apart from them, the only point scorers were the 13 who thought we would win 2-0 or 2-1, 2 who thought we’d win 3-2 or 4-2, and ncfc1 who went for 2-0 to them. They all took a single bonus point, and mostly moved up a place or two overtaking those who didn’t.
Nothing significant happening at the top of the table, the top 4 remaining unchanged with Proccy Fan closing up one point on the scoreless trio above him. Revived Red and I were the other Top Tenners not to score, and dropped back as a result – me from 5th to 7th, overtaken by Sparkie and AngeB, and RR from 9th to 15th.
The positive was a good attendance on a horrible day
. So let’s put that one behind us, stop worrying about our goalscorers leaving us
, and roll on to Cambridge. On Stanley On!!
