Confidence was remarkably high this week
for a game against one of the few teams above us, with only AngeB forecasting a loss
, 27 being optimistic
and 8 cautious. 4 of the optimists were perfectly optimistic
, with Ossy Kid and AccyMad (Mystic Meg strikes again) doing it the hard way, while MikeA and JimsLad just sat back and let their season tickets pull in their 5 points. 5 others picked up a bonus point for Ross’ debut clean sheet
, but of these only Ossy Kid is anywhere near the top of the table. So once again not a lot of movement in the table, with half of us getting 3 points.
That said, MikeA’s 5 took him back into the Top Ten, up from 13th to 8th, while JimsLad, though only moving from 5th to 4th, closed his gap to pointless LongLostSon on top to just 3 points. Ange B also gained on LongLost, taking a bonus point for Super Sean’s Super Sneak-in to sit just 1 behind. Outback Ozzy hangs on to 3rd, leading JimsLad on countback. Revived Red is the big faller at the top, down from 4th to 10th. Ossy Kid climbed from 18= to 15th, but AccyMad only from 21st to 20th.
No occasionals this week, so a single table showing all the regulars is attached. Why do people just play once
, apart from maccawozzagod who I'm sure does it just to wind me up
.
So next we’re rolling on to Carlisle and the Brunton Park Carp Fishery
, with them coming to us only 10 days later. 4 points from those 2 games, with a win against Crawley in between, would get February off to a nice start …….
On Stanley On!!
