Our Table Changes Less Than The Real One As Points Slip Away
Even the best tactics (like starting Sean) don't succeed for ever

We (31 of us) were pretty sure that the run would go on
, with only Kiwi, Football19, Norwich Stanley (by default) and StevieR hedging their bets with a draw forecast. So of course it didn’t
, the first 3 named taking a max 5 and Stevie making do with with 3. These “successes” took F19 from 27th to 22nd, Kiwi from 31st to 26th, Norwich from 34th to 32nd and Stevie ….. from 28th to 29th
cos Kiwi overtook him.
Elsewhere we were all left scratting around for a bonus point or not
. All the Top Ten got one bar Outback Ozzy, who thereby gave up 2nd place to MikeA on countback, and saw AngeB’s lead go up to 5 points
. No other movement in the Top 20 except me crawling ahead of Revived Red (swopping 17th and 18th) which isn’t really worth mentioning, so I won’t bother. Only 1 table this week
as none of our occasionals mustered a guess.
So two points which would have seen us up to third dropped
, but damage limited
, thanks to Exeter’s last gasp winner against Argyle, with the top challengers for the play-off places also failing to take advantage
. 80 points now guarantees a play-off, and 75 looks likely to be enough. So roll on the Hatters, let’s have another clean sheet and 3 more points, with the Cobblers extinguishing the Gas and the Wombles taking more points off Argyle for good measure
. On Stanley On!!
