Re: 2017/18 Prediction League; Game 41 v Colchester Utd (away)

Shock New Leader Comes From Nowhere As Stanley March On

A shock new leader of the percentage league that is - Jimmy Clitheroe with a record of P1, W1, D0, L0, Pts 5, % 100, displacing SalfordImp (67%) . Jimmy also enters the main competition with a bullet at 32nd out of (now) 42, and with 6 more maxis could rise to the dizzy heights of 28th! And Stevie R or I could still win it ! Come to that, Lincoln could still be League 2 champions .

Most relevant of the 3 other maxis is Outback Ozzy's, pulling him dead level on all counts with Mab in 2nd, 3 points behind our leader Tom D and ahead of Leylandii (now 4th) only on countback (the other 3 involved all scoring the bare 3 points). It's tense at the top . Nige B's 5 takes him into the Top Ten (from 12th) at the expense of MonkeyHanger, who changes places having gained a single point from his position on the fence. And AccyTom18's maxi also lifts him a couple of places, from 16th to 14th.

Quite a few joined MH on the fence, and AccyBeMe and Dav007 went to the dark side completely . I excuse lack of faith in their cases as driven by superstition . But no disasters befell them, no-one losing more than a single place. And none of the otherwise faithful lost out at all as a result of their lack of faith in Aaron meaning they only took 3 instead of 4 points.

So it's roll on the Grecians, who annoyingly have managed to win their last two games from losing positions in the last 10 minutes , and as a result can still catch us - but not once we've beaten them . And if we do beat them, we're a League 1 side next season, and will only need to worry about whether we go up as champions or not. Ooo er Muvver .

On Stanley On!!
