Re: 2018/19 Prediction League; Game 29 v Gillingham (away)

Leaders Stretch Out In Front As Taypot Does It Again

5 on the fence this week taking most of the points, with 17 loyalists and 2 pessimists scratching around after the odd bonus. 3 points for Lord Stiffupperlip and Kiwi John stretching their leads over third-placed single point Cashman to 14 and 5 points respectively . 3 for Accytom 18 lifting him from 10th= to 7th , and 3 for NigeB bringing him up from 15th to 12th .

And with, once again , the only maxi, Taypot soars from 25th to - err - 25th , but now has 7 of us in his sights as immediate targets, with up to 17 games in hand. Unfortunately, in this league you don't get to play games in hand , but an average of 2.64 points over 11 games is some performance (not unlike Stanley's start to the season somehow ).

The odd point here or there made absolutely no difference to the relative positions of anybody else, though obviously gaps will have opened or closed depending on whether you were one of the 8 who got a point , or the 11 who didn't .

So it's roll on the Seasiders on Saturday, Jack Frost and Jon Snow permitting - it's looking grim oop north from down here . I think we're all agreed it's time we started gaining points , and a jolly good way to do that would be to start putting the jolly old pigskin in the jolly old onion bag, wouldn't you say?

On Stanley On!!
