Kiwi On A Charge As The Games Run Out

A second consecutive maxi for our flightless friend has suddenly reduced the tog rating of Lord Stiffupperlip's comfort blanket at the top of table to just 6 points - down from 15 in 2 goes since the Fleetwood game. With 30 points still available, it looks increasingly like a two-horse race, with Accytom18, 22 points off the pace in 3rd, now only just the best of the rest. Though theoretically anyone in the Top Ten - but now only anyone in the Top Ten - could still win.

One of the day's other maxis went to Football 19, up from 10th to 6th and in the process pushing Taypot a place down the table into that 10th and last contender slot. This was our late starter's first downward move in his 23 entries . The third and last maxi went to Revived Red , pushing up from 19th to 18th at Tommy McQueen's expense. And the only other player taking more than a point was Monkey Hanger, whose 3 for a scoreless draw makes him now Accytom's closest challenger for the third podium place, just a point adrift.

Most of the rest of us got a point for one or other of the goals, leaving just 7 people pointless at the end of the day.

Right - roll on the Dale, as I probably said a few weeks ago. Events since then really do make this look a bit like us or them time , so it'd better be us, don't you think? Yes you do - vote early, vote often, vote Stanley!

On Stanley On!!
