House Top of the House after first Maxi
The two pessimists  and single drawmonger agreed that Stanley would score 1 against the Chuffers, the other 22 players agreed we would win, so points for everyone on Tuesday night. 10 of the faithful 22 backed Toby for another clean sheet  so added 1 bonus point, and of those 10 only AndyD and StanleyHouse correctly forecast we would only score once, despite having 18 shots with only 4 on target  .The House's maxi lifted him into the lead of our little table, 2 points clear of the Oszy duo who each had to be content with , while teammate Josh's bare saw him slip off the podium for the first time, though only on countback. Team Tom remain the closest challengers 2 points further back, with Accy18 taking a bonus to draw level with Mr D. But the greatest shock of the week is that I think it is the first time, in our 10 years of doing this, that Div3North and my good self are both in the Top Ten at the same time - an unusual betting pattern if ever I saw one . OK, at 9th and 10th, but still ... My elevation came through evicting Accymad and Cashman from the elite, with them slipping together from 9= to 12=.So, roll on Wednesday and the pointy-nosed furry things (I believe that is the correct phrase), complete with a new manager and, presumably (still a couple of hours to kick-off as I write) a Cup win over the mighty Oxford City to encourage them. The table, of course, suggests we should win this one ..... mmmmOn Stanley On!!
