Oszies Dominate the Front of the Grid as Faith Evaporates Unnecessarily
One defeat in a 7 goal thriller, and half of us leap onto the drawmongering fence for the next game, with 3 clambering down the other side
.... leaving the faithful 11 to reap the spoils of victory, and quite right too
- shame I was amongst those on the fence
.
9 of the 11 got at least one bonus point
, and 3 maxi-men got both
- drum rolls then for Cashman, back into the elite with a move from 11th to 7th, DaveinGermany joining him with a bigger leap from 15= up to 9th, and AndyD with an equally big climb from 20th to 13th.
A couple of dramatic falls, too
, among the pointless, with StanleyJosh down from 5th to 10= and NigeB 9th to 15=. And gaining only a single bonus point saw StanleyHouse down from 3rd to 6th.
4 points were enough to put Outback Ozzy on top of the heap
and bring Ossy Kid dead level with ex-leader AccyTom18 in second place, 3 points behind. Mab and TomD, with 4 apiece, moved up from 6th and 8th to 4th and 5th.
So as the season continues at breakneck pace, and Div3North's keyboard threatens to fail under the pressure of several thousand keystrokes a week
, it's roll on the Seasiders for a game we would definitely hope to win
before facing Doncaster
, Sunderland
and Portsmouth
over a tough-looking Christmas and the New Year. Can we go into that with a smile on our faces? Yes we can .....
On Stanley On!!
