Well, quite

Apart from SJ, who gained 3 points for his heresy, it just came down to whether you thought the Gills would score a single consolation goal while going down to inevitable defeat. A few of us did, and won a point for our troubles. Nowt for everybody else.

Impact on the table then, was limited, mostly restricted to someone who got a point climbing above someone who didn't . This was the case for Mab, up two from 5th to 3rd, Me (12-11), AccyMad (17-16=), AngeB (20-19) and Tommy McQueen (22-21). SJ's 3 points only got him a similar improvement (14-13). At the very top, Outback Ozzy got a point and his closest challengers didn't, thereby increasing his lead to 8 points.

A welcome back to Northern Soul , whose second entry this season brought his second point.

So, roll on Hull for a double-header. Can't help thinking 4 points from these 2 games would be a very good return, needing of course at least a draw from the first one tomorrow . Time for a bouncing back then lads - but how do we all feel about our chances? Only time will tell ....

On Stanley On!!
