Re: 2020/21 Prediction League; Game 33 v Ipswich Town (home)

Three Buck Trend of Cock-Eyed Optimism

18 out of 25 of us expecting a win yesterday definitely fits the definition of cock-eyed optimism. And to the pragmatic the spoils ....

The only maxi lifted Taypot from a lowly 22nd up to 16th, 4 points for Valairian slid him past TomD into 9th, and the same 4 for StanleyJosh saw him take a chunk out of Outback Ozzy's lead at the top of the table and pull clear of me in third - 65 plays 60 plays 56.

Apart from that, people who thought we'd draw, or win 1-0, picked up a bonus point , as did StanleyHouse who thought we'd win 3-2. So 9 of you got a point and 13 of us didn't. That point was enough to lift Ossy Kid from 16th to 13th. Everybody else stood still, unless one of the afore-mentioned pushed them down as they ascended.

I'm going to make absolutely no comments about the next game, especially the likelihood/desirability/necessity of a win. Because it doesn't seem to be helping ....

On Stanley On!!
