Re: 2021/22 Prediction League; Game 31 v Rotherham United (away)

All Change at the Top, Shurm back in Front

We were pretty realistic about this one , with a small majority (11 plays 9) favouring table-topping Rotherham for the win, with just 5 perching on the fence. And so it came to pass , though the manner of passing left a lot to be desired .

No maxis this time, with 2-1 and 3-1 down the favourite guesses. Just 4 of the pessimists picked up a bonus point for fearing correctly that we wouldn't score, so 4 points went to Monkey Hanger and Nige B, taking them past pointless Cashy into 3rd and 4th respectively, to Taypot lifting him from 9th to 7th, and to Tommy McQueen, 13th to 12th.

More significantly, though, Shurm managing 3 points took him back to the top of the heap, 2 points clear of a sinking Mike A and the rising MH, MA holding onto second spot on countback. The other 3-pointers were Valairian (staying 10th), Ange B (12th to 11th), AccyTom18 (14th to 13th), StanleyJosh (17th to 16th), Outback Ozzy (20th to 18th) and Ossy Kid (22nd to 20th).

Most of the rest of you got a point (not me , though I did manage an entry this time ), all for predicting Rotherham 1. There were no evictions from the Top Ten on this occasion.

So it's roll on Oxford tomorrow, with September's result a distant memory which really doesn't want to be refreshed. Our last win is also in danger of becoming a distant memory - definitely time to put that right!

On Stanley On!!
