Re: 7 Released
Bet he will not be the last if the wages are poor and they can get better elsewhere. Nothing to do with Loyalty but the players do have families and mortgages!!!

Re: 7 Released
Lets be honest the club does not have a huge lot to offer in terms of wages training grounds etc.... compared to alot of other league 2 clubs or lower league clubs.
Over the last season the lads have had delays on wages more than once no one can really call anyone of the lads for going to another club
No one can call coley for not be able to offer the deals to keep these lads or bring in new lads
No one can blame the chairman for not making more funds to keep/bring in new players
The club is be honest with the lads, the club can not offer huge wages weather the player is worth it or not
The chairman is be honest we as a club cant afford to pay the wages certain players want or are worth
The tax bill was paid but the effects of the last 2 seasons still live on

Re: 7 Released
It would be a shame if Putterill does leave the club, but I don't think it would be a massive loss. Indeed he was electric at the start of the season, but to me he didn't exactly seem like the model professional; he didn't seem to have the motivation to keep himself fit or the will to fight to earn a starting place after his ban. He could have a fantastic career if he expressed the work rate and professionalism of Paul Mullin or Andy Procter to go with his abundance of talent.

Re: 7 Released
i personally think putterill would be a big loss if true, i see others that are perhaps more motivated, but it sure don't make em any better fer it.

Re: 7 Released
Turner and now Putterill. If only they had been given a fair crack of the whip.
I haven't the slightest concern about the others released.

Re: 7 Released
Thats abit harsh, look at the players we have had this season, jimmy ryan, edwards, proccy, deano, gornell, they all wont be on big wages, i'd rather keep paying the wages we do than end up in a mess AGAIN, but i know to keep the players we need to up the wages but until we have the income to do so than

Re: 7 Released
not harsh its fact, aint referring any you have named MCR, n it dont take a rocket scientist to figure? everyones aware wages aint the best, n cannot be vastly increased, just hope we can keep those players that deserve more.

I don't think Jonathan Bateson deserved to be discarded the way that he was. From first team regular, to being completely ignored overnight. Just because of getting sent off at Bury.
