A bit too wishful thinking ?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ic/6444011.stm

Anyone else we might have a chance on pulling this guy on loan ? If he can't play until next season and we do have links with charlton players for loan. I guess it just depends on the reasoning why he can't play for Charlton, if it's that he can't play Premiership we should be ok, if it is football league we may have problems.

The reason he can't play for charlton is he's signed outside the transfer window and therefore is not eligable. This would make him ineligable to play in the football league too.

Re: A bit too wishful thinking ?

No I don't hink he can do that either, because if he signs out of the transfer window, I don't think he officially belongs to charlton in the FA's eyes until the next transfer window opens. Therefore that club, not in the FA's eyes being his owners, cannot loan him out as they have no rights to him.

Please don't quote me on this I could be wrong but there were a few players knocking about in december already training with their new clubs but unable to 'sign' until the window opened.

Yet the guy has played in 2 of Charltons reserve games and scored as far as I know prior to being signed as well. Is this not the same thing as we got done for last/this year?
