Whilst accepting that everyone has an opinion, some of the postings on here are factually incorrect and serve only to spur on the anti-Coleman brigade.
To suggest that Coley's track record over the last 2 seasons would merit a size 9 up the backside is laughable. One of those seasons brought the Conference Title, the other secured League 2 status for another year! As for the previous 7 seasons, try 2 more League Titles, several cups and year on year progress that no other manager to my knowledge anywhere can boast (I include Sir Alex in that!).
I accept the fact that we are in a tough position, but we are still competing in the Football League.
How you can call yourselves true supporters is beyond me. All you seem to want to do is moan and slag off the Manager.
Whatever happened to getting behind the team?
If you want to have a healthy debate on any topics, come and speak to me and I will voice your opinions directly to JC.
By the way, he is not an ogre and he has already extended an invitation to Darwenred1968 to come and have a chat with him and will willingly exchange views with any fan in the bar afterwards. How many League Managers give you that level of direct communication?
As for him answering back to the fans, maybe he should ignore it - but the fact that he is so passionate about the club and he is afterall, only human, sometimes people need to be told a few home truths.
Above all else, "Keep The Faith" and look forward to League 2 football for yet another season!
|
Sorry sibling Coleman in saying last two seasons I was including the present season.
I CANNOT believe your cheek in calling fans who dare to criticise your brother JC AT LEAST I BLOODY PAY!! Not in the free seats like you are every week , Would you still be coming and saying keep the faith if JC WAS NOT your brother I don't think so, Would you not be upset at our home form if you were not related and had to fork out to watch? I don't think so.
And as for all you guys on here who just love to have a go at someone because they spell something incorrectly GET A LIFE!!

agreed, I made the mistake of correcting the spellings and incorrect grammar of a post or two on the OSC forum a few months ago. It turned out the bloke was dyslexic. We can't all spell everything right (or get the apostrophe in the reet place) and some people have good reason for it.

At least he wasn't professing (sp?) to be a 'journalist'(again sp?), as was the person I was trying to educate a couple of years ago!! Adam something, I now recall, although, having seen his recent attempts, I may well have helped him!!
No thanks necessary!!

He'd probably carrying on supporting whoever it is he's been supporting all his life. Would you switch your "support" to Bury if your brother became manager there ?

That's me Oggy always smiling but the guy does have a point. Coley failed to spot a change in tactics by Lincoln in the first 10 minutes of the second half that could be seen by most people watching the game. Something needed to be done to combat this but he made no substitutions, even when the 2nd goal went in he did nothing and lots of fans showed what they thought by leaving 20 mins before the end.

That's fair comment, but DM was ranting on about us all wanting McLaren sacked?
I think you'll find I suggested, "Substitute" (The Who), as a song to run onto in the second half, to remind Coleman that it's an option. Coleman's use of substitutes has always been queried on this messageboard, and in a much better way than DM manages.
Some people have their camps, and their outlook; I don't have such a polarised way of looking at things. With or without Coleman the underlying problems will still be there. On balance, I'd prefer to see John stay to get things sorted, the upheaval if he left would be enormous.

Re: A Matter of Opinion!
Oh dear,
Probably shouldn't post whilst at work, but this thread drove me to it. Some of the points above are valid some on the otherhand are just antagonistic. If you pay your money you have a right to moan, In the same way as you have a right to support and encourage a team that needs it.
In my short time there, no one tried harder and was more ferocious in their efforts to push Stanley on than Coley. top bloke and no doubt in my mind will turn this blip in form around, No one better..
No point in writing things that are just designed to wind people up. Nor is there any point in responding. I have said before and will again, it's simple, support the team make some noise and get right behind them. A better response is guranteed if we raise the roof.
I'm skint this week, and with no one to go with, will find some money and get on the ground anyway and cheer as much as I can, Negativity breeds negativity. Just like coley1957 says at the top of this page, save your opinions till the club after the game and let Coley answer em for you.
