A show of appreciation!

Just like to say a big thank you to all those Stanley fans who made the trip to watch the Hereford game
Excellent throughout and a credit to your club and the county of Lancashire, I feel apologies are also the order of the day and its not me who should be having to make them for others in our ranks
I can't understand why we have this 'We hate Stanley' thing going on around us in the main stand???? plus the rest of that garbage that goes with it.

Please understand that most of us are actually envious of your achievements this season and don't like this or condone it in any form,
You have fully deserved the title on merit, Good attractive football, top players and a manager that can only take you further,

It's going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride from here on in so hold on tight and do the county proud in the League proper,

All the best to everyone connected with your club and I hope we can join you one day,
Ade.

Re: A show of appreciation!

Thanks Ade, spoke to lots of decent fans from MFC who wished us well & that was the vibe from the vast majority. Thought Morecambe should have won with a bit more belief & conviction going forward. Is it only me who thinks Twiss is a very gifted yet very lazy player. Hunter was very very good & got man of the match.

Coley, Jimmy & Mangan all in the bar afterwards. Saw Shultzy & Big Frank, Suzanne, Liz & Duke, all in all probably 40 Accy there (40 x £11 etc etc)

Big downer on the night were the people near the drum who Ade is probably talking about. Word of advice if they are listening & they probably aren't. We don't have an Anti Morecambe song let alone the 8 or so anti-Stanley songs that you sung (including the crap one about bananas & feet!). Try getting behind the team as you did at various times during the game. Hopefully that will transmit to the players.....

Hate Stanley? Pah, we've only known you properly for three years!

Re: A show of appreciation!

I thought singing "We're going up with the Stanley" after 2 minutes was a classic.

I thought Hunter played very well, without a lot of support. However, other key players (Thompson at times, Curtis, Twiss) were pretty poor. I was surprised they weren't more up for it, considering the importance of the game.

Had a chuckle at that one for obvious reasons and didn't even try to join in out of a sense of reality
